The Rosetta Stone has two languages on it, they are Egyptian and Greek. The Rosetta Stone also
has three scripts written on it, they are hieroglyphics, demotic, and Greek.
~The first was hieroglyphic which was used for important or religious documents.
~The second which was demotic and was used for the common script of Egypt.
~The third one was used for the language of the rulers of Egypt at the time and the script was Greek.
The Rosetta Stone was writtend and made in 196 B.C., and it was found in 1799.The Rosetta Stone was
discovered in a small village in the Delta called the Rosetta (Rashid). The Rosetta Stone was discovered by French soldiers
who were rebuilding a fort in Egypt. Jean Francois Champollion deciphered the heiroglyphs. After many years of
trying to find the answers he found them in 1822 and deciphered what they meant.
